Life as a Lofthouse →
A blog that I discovered some time ago. I enjoy the recipes and ideas shared on this site. One of my most favorite recipes are these little pizza roll up thingies made with crescent rolls, cheese sticks, pepperoni, butter and Italian seasoning. Yum. Yum. Great party food. Or appetizer. Or snack. Or heck, just make it your lunch. Enjoy!

from "The Girl in the Italian Bakery" by Kenneth...
Where there is love there is always hope. So we hope someday we’ll live in a world where children don’t disappear. That one day we wake up to a world free of wars, where everyone has enough to eat. We hope that diseases will be cured and loved ones made whole. We hope one day we’re reunited with our mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters; that somehow our broken families are...
Mean ol' Mom
Oh only two weeks into summer vacation and I’m ready to send my 7 year old back to school. I love the child to infinity and beyond, but please give this momma a break from the fighting and the whining and the crying and the “I’m bored” blah, blah, blah. Honestly though, the baby is just as bad. Usually I can handle them when they can be apart, hence when 7 year old goes to...

Trails of Children
I spend a lot of time picking up trails of things my children leave lying around-clothes, shoes, toys, etc. I also spend a lot of time telling my children to pick up after themselves. Constantly reminding them everything has a home and if it doesn’t get into it’s home, then I’m getting rid of it. Most of the time the mumbling and grumbling about putting their stuff away...

Another great blog that I follow. Joy features many different recipes for appetites of all kinds. I may not always eat what she’s cooking or baking, but I sure do enjoy her posts, photos and recipes.

Goodwill Hunting
Today I ventured into my local Goodwill and found lots of treasures for less than 20 bucks! I went in to find me some dress pants and the first thing I found was a GLEE calendar for 2 bucks! (I will post about my love for GLEE another day :). After finding that jewel I wandered over to the dress pants. After trying on about 8,000 different pairs I ended up with 2. So that was a success I guess....

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flavored Cupcakes
I found these on The Tasty Kitchen a few weeks ago and have been waiting for a chance to make them. Today was that chance. After cutting the recipe in half and messing up the first batch, I successfully made about 15 of these little sweeties. The recipe wasn’t really too difficult and I’m glad I cut it in half because they are some rich little cupcakes. I definitely will have to make a...
Crazy
The amount of cooking and baking apps I have on my phone is crazy. The amount of recipe emails I have in my inbox is crazy. The amount of cooking and baking websites and blogs I have bookmarked on my phone is crazy. The amount of recipes I have open in safari on my phone is crazy. Maybe I’m crazy about recipes, cooking and baking…
The Pioneer Woman →
Another favorite blog site of mine. I love everything from the confessions to cooking to photography to home and garden to home schooling and finally to the Tasty Kitchen blog. I have had the utmost pleasure of meeting The Pioneer Woman herself at a book signing the day after my 25th birthday. She signed my copy of her amazing cook book The Pioneer Woman Cooks and my copy of her romance novel...

This is one of my favorite blogs. I can totally relate to it in so many ways. I definitely recommend this website to young married couples, parents of newborns and toddlers, working parents and everyone in between. Take a moment and check it out. I don’t believe you will be disappointed. :)
